Afterschool program provides daily homework support, math & social-emotional learning enrichment, and recreation time. Students are served a snack upon arrival and a warm dinner daily. Each student selects four special interest clubs to participate in from 5-6 PM daily, with options including computer coding, guitar, art, basketball, GoH GoH Girls (girls leadership program), Boy Scouts, and more. Transportation from school to Afterschool is provided from Lorenzo de Zavala, St. Mary of Carmel, and Uplift Heights Primary/Secondary campuses. Students are divided into four classrooms (K-2nd, 3rd-4th, 5th-6th, and 7th-12th).
We are honored to receive the Program Quality Award! This certification recognizes Wesley-Rankin as an official mastery site of the Dallas Afterschool Program Quality Initiative. Wesley-Rankin demonstrated competency in all 10 elements of a high-quality afterschool program, including Parent, Family, and Community Partnerships, Staffing and Professional Development, and Program Sustainability and Growth.
