B3X Summer Camp
Rising 1st-9th Grade
Serving students entering 1st-9th grades, B3X is an energizing summer camp that provides expansive, hands-on learning experiences. Daily activities reinforce core learning in science, math, art, and reading. B3X-plorers participate in field trips, on-site labs, workshops, and arts enrichment activities. Breakfast, lunch, and a snack are served daily. Camp runs from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM, Monday-Thursday for 7 weeks in June and July.
B3X families have the opportunity to enroll in weekly grocery distributions through Brighter Bites and Lovers Lane UMC. Information about enrollment is sent out prior to the beginning of camp.
A Day at B3X
The B3X curriculum intentionally utilizes hands-on activities, experiments, and projects to solidify students’ understanding of core concepts they learned the previous school year. During a day at B3X, students will rotate through 6 stations: Characters & Stories, Art, Math, Science, Reading, and Recreation. In addition to daily instruction, students will participate in 3 field trips throughout the summer to locations like the Dallas Zoo, the World Aquarium, UT Arlington planetarium, the Dallas Arboretum, and more.
Registration
Registration opens in late spring prioritizing current Wesley-Rankin families and West Dallas families. Registration cost is $50 for one student and $10 for each additional student. Registration cost covers the entire summer, daily breakfast and lunch, and all field trips.
Parents will be notified of students’ enrollment status via email or text message. Make sure to check email regularly after submitting a registration form. In order to provide inclusive and accessible programs to all in West Dallas, Wesley-Rankin does not require external documentation for enrollment in the B3X Summer Camp Program.
Financial aid is available to families upon request so that registration fees are not a barrier to anyone wanting to participate in Wesley-Rankin’s programs.
