GoH GoH Girls (Girls of Hope, Girls of Honor) is a 4th-12th grade program designed around the four cornerstones of leadership, service, responsibility, and sisterhood. The GoH GoH Girls program holistically aids in developing young girls by providing a safe place to discuss female-related issues while also equipping girls with experiences such as self-defense, budgeting, and the importance of the arts.
Students are divided by age during meeting times, so mentors can choose to work with 4th-6th grade or 7th-12th grade. 4th-6th grade GoH GoH Girls meets on Tuesdays from 5-6 PM and 7th-12th grade GoH GoH Girls meets on Mondays from 5-6 PM. We ask that mentors continue with the same age group for a school year to build and maintain relationships. GoH GoH Girls mentors work within a large and small group mentoring model that empowers students through healthy communication, relationship building, and intentional programming. The mentor relationship’s emphasis is on student engagement, identity development, new skills, opportunities, and navigating childhood and adolescent life and its systems/transitions.
