It is with great excitement that we announce the 19th Annual Hattie’s Luncheon, celebrating the beautiful community of Wesley-Rankin Community Center! This event allows us to reflect on our 124-year history while also looking forward to our future together.

Please make plans to join us on Thursday, March 12, 2026, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas for a special luncheon with friends. This year, Stephanie Champion from Builders of Hope will be sharing important updates about the Homestead Preservation Center at Wesley-Rankin which has helped over 400 households access resources and navigate systems for maintaining their homes amidst rapid development and rising costs in West Dallas.

Showing your support at Hattie’s Luncheon allows Wesley-Rankin to continue its mission of providing high quality education programs and crucial resources to people of all ages. This year, we will announce an exciting new opportunity for the agency to expand its mission and outreach. We cannot wait to share this news with you!

We will also be celebrating Laura Steen-Patterson as the recipient of our annual Hattie Rankin Moore Leadership Award. Laura first connected with Wesley-Rankin in 2011 as a running coach for the GoH GoH Girls (Girls of Hope, Girls of Honor) program when participating in a season of Girls on the Run. Her passion for racing and mentoring led her to launch Afterschool’s first club, running club, which has supported over 140 students in the past decade. She continues to serve as a mentor in the GoH GoH Girls leadership program and as a running club coach today.
