Volunteers

We want to thank all those who have volunteered recently at Wesley-Rankin. Some examples of the great support we have received from volunteers are:

Scholle Brown achieved a Girl Scout Gold Award for her work with the Teen Parenting Program.  Scholle provided meals, snacks, and childcare each week to the young moms and dads that participate in the program on Monday nights.  Scholle provided food for the spirit as well through her parting gift of a Bible to each participant.  Scholle is a member of  Girl Scout Troop 321.

William Chisholm, from Troop 82, completed his Eagle Scout Project in November 2005.  William designed an innovative paper wrap and storage station that streamlined the efforts of Care4Kids volunteers who wrapped over 2,000 presents.

On March 27, 120 middle-school students from Carrollton Christian Academy visited Wesley-Rankin to read to Head Start toddlers, play bingo with Senior Citizens, host a community garage sale, organize books in the library in preparation for the Summer Reading Program, and helped prepare rooms for painting.  In one day, CCA contributed over 600 volunteer hours! Wesley-Rankin would like to thank Dr. Alex Ward, Chris Covington, and the staff and students of Carrollton Christian Academy!

More examples of groups that have recently volunteered can be found on the photos page.
